A Pop Of Red

Jumper – I Saw It First // Jeans – I Saw It First // Boots – New Look // Coat – H&M

Red is one of my favourite colours to wear as we move into the winter months; there’s something just so warm and festive about the shade, and I love including it in my snuggly cold weather outfits. Whether it’s just a swipe of red lipstick, or a red Christmas dress, it is one of my staple colour palettes for autumn and winter, and I couldn’t wait to incorporate it into my outfits once again. I picked up this ruffle edged red jumper only last week, but it’s already become one of my most worn pieces this autumn. I’ve been styling it with so many pieces in my wardrobe and it looks great paired with denim and skirts alike; I can already see myself wearing this all throughout the colder months.

It’s not often that you see jeans featured here on Chloe Cecilia Goes Couture, but these bow waist mom jeans are one of my go-to pieces for casual ‘off-duty’ days. I have actually featured them on my blog before with a spring top and cardigan, read the post here, but I thought I’d try styling them up for the colder months. One of the reasons I don’t tend to wear jeans is that I feel that they lack personality, but the girly bow waist detail on this pair tie in so well with my personal style that I always smile wearing them; plus they’re just so comfortable! If you’re not an avid jean wearer, like me, but fancy picking up some feminine jeans that are comfortable enough for everyday use I can’t recommend these enough. I got them in a UK size 6 and I’d say they run true to size, if not a little big, so I’d definitely go for your normal size, or if you’re in between sizes, go for one size down.

Red doesn’t only look cute paired with denim; it can look so classy paired with monochrome, or even with a shade from the same colour family, such as combining red with pink for a feminine, stylish look. You’ll probably see this jumper styled up with my pink satin midi skirt in the months to come, or potentially my pink ruffle hem trousers. If you have any other outfit suggestions I’d love to hear them!

Cute red pieces…
