Dresses On My Wishlist

Dress – In The Style (old – similar here and here) // Heels – New Look (old – similar here)

Dresses are my most worn garments year round, so it comes as no surprise that there’s nothing I adore more than styling up dresses for autumn and winter. All of these dresses would look cute with bare legs and tights alike, which makes them perfect for when the temperature starts to drop.

The first dress on my wishlist also featured on my pre-fall wishlist, and I’m actually surprised that it hasn’t made its way into my basket yet; that’s some very good self control on my part! Red dresses, as I discussed in my recent post, are a necessity in my wardrobe for the winter season and I just love how classic this one is. Reserved is swiftly becoming one of my favourite brands, you can see another of my favourite Reserved pieces here, and it’s a definite go-to for high quality affordable pieces.

High neck dresses are always such a classy choice, and this burnt orange one is simply gorgeous. This is a perfect colour choice for autumn, where warm tones never fail to look good, and this would look so fabulous with both Chelsea boots and over-the-knee boots. This dress is such a similar shape to the one I wore in a recent post, and so I think this would look even better with a belt, like the other one I own. A thick black belt with an over-sized buckle tied up over a black chunky cardigan, paired with black over-the-knee boots, would look so on trend, and would also be very snuggly.

This third dress caught my eye the moment I walked into Zara and I knew I had to have it (as soon as my student budget would allow me that is!). I can’t wait to style this up with Chelsea boots for a chic Metropolitan look; this dress actually immediately made me think of swanning around the V&A, so maybe I should organise a trip – I have to, right?

The swinging 60s are back in full swing (if you pardon the pun!) and I am in love with this pink pleated swing dress. This dress just screams my name, don’t you think? This would be a perfect choice for nights out or parties over the next few months, before the true festive season begins, and sparkly dresses become the only acceptable thing to wear. This gorgeous dress would look so cute with low block heels, or even my white pointed ankle boots, seen here.

Jumper dresses are a necessity for autumn/winter and this white cable knit one is so adorable. Not many white pieces look cute paired with black but I feel that this would still manage to look good layered over black tights, or paired with black over-the-knee boots. Over-sized jumpers and jumper dresses from Zara always seem to be super snuggly and comfortable, and I can just envision how warm and comfy this would be.
