Fashion Week Series – Post Fashion Week Wishlist

As this season’s fashion month comes to a close a whole host of new trends have been set for the year ahead, and it looks like there are a lot of fresh, exciting trends coming our way this autumn. I know it’s a long way off but I thought I’d make a post Fashion Week wishlist for this winter, so that I can refer to it later in the year and see what I should be picking up to channel the chic looks we saw on the catwalk this season. If you haven’t seen my posts about each separate Fashion Weeks you can read them here: NYFW, MFW, LFW, PFW.

A red and pink piece

Red and pink was seen all over the catwalk and I’d love to pick up some pieces combining two of my favourite colours. Whether that’s one piece that includes them both or an outfit that incorporates both shades I can’t wait to start wearing this trend.

A dark floral piece

Florals are some of my favourite things to wear and by combining floral with the traditional dark colours of winter you get a perfectly feminine and classic trend, that’s also seasonally appropriate. Vibrant colours like red, purple and pink on to darker fabrics in black and navy can be such a cute look, and this would look so sweet on a midi dress.

A clashing pattern piece

Clashing patterns were all over the runway, and the current scarf print trend is a great example of a wearable way of introducing this trend into your wardrobe.

A trench coat

A trench coat looks good for both ‘in between’ seasons, autumn and spring, and looks so cute layered with different knitwear underneath. They were all over the catwalk in all different patterns and colours and I’d love to pick one up in a light colour such as white or pink.

All white outfit

All white outfits were all over the catwalk, and as someone who is in love with white outfits, I am incredibly happy. Pairing white coats with white knitwear and trousers looks so effortlessly chic and high end, no matter the price tag of the pieces.
