I had incredibly high hopes for this face mask before I even opened the packet, and I wasn’t disappointed. Based off Korean skincare, which we all know is renowned for its results, this Milk Peel from Patchology is bound to be amazing. One bonus for this mask is that it only has to be left on the face for five minutes, which is incredibly handy if you’re using it as a part of a morning routine or you want to add a quick bit of pampering into the day.

The mask fitted my face well and the very soft scent made it a very enjoyable experience. I was worried that this mask would smell too coconutty, due to the coconut milk in the ingredients, but it actually smelt quite fresh and somewhat floral which was a nice surprise.

After applying the mask at first I felt a little let down; that shot of moisture that I’d been expecting hadn’t been delivered and I wasn’t very impressed. This mask had promised a rejuvenating burst of moisture, but it just didn’t seem to be there. However, fast forward about twenty minutes, I’m in the shower about to wash my hair when I touch my face and honestly, this was the softest my face had ever felt. In fact, even after my shower, when my face would usually be incredibly dried out, it had retained the moisture. So I decided to take back my previous skepticism and admit it, this mask was good.

After leaving the bathroom, and even hours later, my mom commented on how dewy my skin looked and how soft it felt; proving that this mask has almost immediate visible effects. Instead of a short term fix it’s looking like this mask is offering long term skin fixing treatments, which is very impressive. It also calmed any redness and inflamed skin on my face, so I’d recommend this for anyone with sensitive skin.

Would I re-use this mask?

This mask was great and I really did love how it left my skin looking; it left it feeling soft and reduced redness, which is what I hoped it would do, and so I would definitely reach for this again. The one thing preventing me from using this mask regularly is the price, at £8 a pop it’s on the pricier side, meaning I couldn’t really use it very often.
