Inspiration for the Week: Vol. 9

I’ve had such a tired week, I could have genuinely spent half of it curled up in bed, but I had to keep working in university, which left me feeling quite exhausted. I’m looking forward to a fresh start this week, with a (hopefully!) brighter mindset, which leaves me feeling a bit more inspired, confident and upbeat. Really taking a step back, working on my mental health and vowing to improve my morning and night routines are at the top of my to-do list this week, and I’m excited to get started.

I’m looking forward to Pancake Day this week, I’ve got such a sweet tooth so my pancake topping of choice is ice cream sauce and sprinkles; is that considered a pancake crime? I also have a classic lemon and sugar one for a more subtle flavour. What is your go-to pancake topping? Let me know in the comments below!

These gorgeous 18th century inspired dresses are simply stunning; I love the gorgeous satin bows, and the colour pallete is so dreamy. The print is the perfect blend of historical reference and grand-millennial chic, and I love the soft blue tones. Honestly, if I could dress like this everyday I would.

The stunning Provence home that this account is run for is one of my dream wedding locations, and everything they post just fuels my love for it even more. The elegant blue toned upholstered chair, delicate carved wood, contrasting marble, and beautiful worn tiles; what a perfect mix.

I grew up ballet dancing for seventeen years, and that’s part of why I love this photo. Anything pastel, floral and ballet related is guaranteed to make me smile, and this fits the bill. This beautiful ballet is created by Sophie Adams and is performing across the UK, and if the dancing is half as beautiful as the costumes then I’m sure it’ll be a great hit.

This looks like such a fun girls trip, and it got me craving a holiday away with my best friends! Cruising around in a retro car with the waves crashing in the distance, with my girls beside me, sounds like a perfect day, and I can’t wait for summer to roll around.

Summer straw hats, colourful tiles and palm trees create the perfect summertime energy, and this photo just makes me want to run through that door and go exploring.

WHAT I’M READING…

I haven’t had much time to read this week as I’ve been so exhausted so I’ve been catching that extra half an hour in bed instead of reading in the morning, so I’m still making my way through Little Women. I’m now about half way through, and hoping I’ll be done by the end of the week. I’m looking to add another classic novel to my reading list, as I want to incorporate some more iconic literature into my library, so if you have any recommendations please let me know.

WHAT I’M WATCHING…

I’ve started watching Virgin River this week, as we all know I love a small town show. I’ve heard good things about it, and it was recommended to me as I loved Sweet Magnolias, but I’m struggling to get into it. Fingers crossed it picks up a little in the next few episodes!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO…

I’m heading off to Country to Country Festival in a couple of weeks, so I’ve been having a country music binge. I’m so looking forward to seeing Scotty McCreery and Brett Young, so they’ve been on repeat, with a top pick for each being ‘Carolina To Me’ and ‘Not Yet’, as well as ‘Marry Me’ by Thomas Rhett, ‘Rain From Heaven’ by Eric Paslay and ‘Strangers’ by Maddie & Tae.

Love Chloe x
