For a long time I saw jewellery as something quite unimportant; I picked up the odd cheap piece whilst shopping in H&M or Accessorize, but never truly invested in pieces or curated a jewellery collection for myself. This all changed when I received a gorgeous pearl necklace for my 21st birthday last September, see it here, and instantly understood the attraction to more precious, timeless pieces that would one day become heirlooms. Since then jewellery has definitely held more precedence in my life, which is why I’ve decided to work alongside Mejuri*, and share their stunning pieces. You will have seen me wearing this classic pearl set here, and they’ve quickly become some of my favourite jewellery pieces. The knowledge that the pieces I’m selecting are made to stand the test of time and continue to look as timelessly elegant as they do now, for years to come, thrills me, but it also underlines the need to take proper care of each and every one. Gone are the days of keeping my necklaces all tangled up in a box (trust me, I cringed reading that too…), and instead I’ve been searching for a safe, convenient and aesthetically pleasing way to store my most precious pieces.
When choosing storage for my jewellery I knew I wanted something that offered enough storage for a few different styles, but was also compact enough to bring travelling with me. Large jewellery storage boxes are often quite easy to find, but durable and beautiful travel cases are often trickier to track down, that’s why I was so glad when I spotted this crescent moon shaped case on Mejuri.
