An All Pink Look

Blouse – Primark (old, similar here, here and here) // Jeans – Zara (also seen here and here) // Shoes – Boohoo (old, similar here) // Bag – Loeffler Randall

Pink will forever be my favourite colour, so if there is ever a chance to wear a monochromatic pink outfit then I’m going to take it. I’m an advocate of wearing pink all year round, but as we live in a world that sees pink’s shelf live ending sometime in September, I’m glad that it’s finally the time of year again where I can rock up in this outfit and no one will bat an eyelid.

When wearing a monochromatic look it’s important to find the right balance between looking elegant and put together, and looking like you’ve accidentally dyed all of your clothes pink. One way I try to avoid this is by breaking up the colour with a block of something more neutral, for instance, my white jeans. It creates a divide between the pink on the top, and the pink shoes, so that it doesn’t look like such a pink explosion. Alternatively, you can let your skin colour do this; for example, if you are wearing a pink mini dress and pink shoes, the gap between the hem of the dress and the shoes creates a natural block of colour, and allows you to wear a true monochromatic look.

I’ve talked about these jeans a fair few times on chloececiliagoescouture now, see them styled up here and here, but I honestly cannot stop reaching for them. This was my first time styling them with a pair of mules and I found that they do sit quite low down on to my foot (petite styling problems!), so I’m considering taking them up just a touch, so that I can comfortably wear them with both flats and espadrilles.

‘Pearls are always appropriate’

My stunning Loeffler Randall pearl Mina tote is one of my most priced possessions, and it’s something I’ll continue to pull from my wardrobe if I want a way of immediately elevating an outfit. I have to say, I truly agree with what Jackie Kennedy has said above; there’s never an outfit that pearls can’t go with. I wear pearl studs on an almost daily basis, and there’s something just to luxurious about how pearls make any look feel more high end. The decadent pearls and soft pink feathers on this bag, create such a glamorous feel, and it pairs so well with my neutral and pastel coloured wardrobe. It also works beautifully with pearl accessories, such as the pearl earrings I’m wearing in this look. I’m also keeping my eyes peeled for a statement pearl necklace, which would truly complete the look.
