A white dress never fails to look effortlessly classy in the summertime, they truly are a summer staple. Although I have built up quite the collection I’ll never stop myself from adding another white dress to my wardrobe, you just can’t have too many, and each year I’m on the look out for something new and slightly different to pick up. I’m even wearing one whilst writing this post!
Whether it’s a broderie anglaise mini dress, a shirred white midi dress, or a dobby mesh number, there’s a white summer dress for each and every occasion. They’re perfect for special occasions, such as birthdays, garden parties and baby showers; for travelling, as you can dress them up and down; for casual days, styled with comfy shoes or sandals; and for holidays, as they really make your tan pop.
This gorgeous floral white midi dress is simply stunning. A dress like this seems to transport you to a blooming meadow in Provence the moment you put it on, and there’s something so whimsical and romantic about the puff sleeves and tie-bow details. This would look perfect styled up with a straw bag, this is my favourite one, and espadrilles; these straw style ones from H&M would look beautiful.

This knee-length tiered dress is so classy, yet so youthful at the same time, and it could be styled up and down so easily. Strappy heels are the latest style on my wishlist, and these pink ones would pair with this dress perfectly for a more dressed-up look. Alternatively, this could be styled with flat sandals, ballet flats or even trainers, these ones are so cute, for a more casual look.

This jacquard dress is a more decadent white dress option, which would be perfect for any special occasions you have planned over the summer. I would stick to pastel shades when styling this dress up, such as these mint green heels, or these lilac strappy ones.

I’m a lover of smock dresses, partly because they look so sweet and classic, and also because they’re so free and breezy that they cover any food babies or bloating (because what is summer without plenty of al fresco dining and ice cream?). This one from Free People is definitely on my wishlist, the bow detail on the back combined with the luxe fabric makes this such a glamorous, yet bohemian, white dress choice.

If a white co-ord is more your style then this broderie-anglaise set is super sweet. The bow tie on the back of the top is such a darling detail, and I could see myself wearing this with a simple pair of sandals or mules to go exploring on holiday. I can see this being the sell-out H&M set that everyone has this year!
