The Most Darling Spring to Summer Pieces / H&M

H&M is one of my go-to high-street stores, especially in spring and summer, and they’ve got so many gorgeous pieces in at the moment. I spent the first part of lockdown staying away from online shopping, as I felt uncomfortable shopping when people were working in potentially dangerous warehouses, but as we gradually move out of lockdown I finally feel confident shopping again, and H&M was one of the first places I looked. I’ve recently been sharing some of my top daily picks on my Instagram story, so if you’re interested in seeing more pieces I’ve picked out head on over to my Instagram, or shop all of my top picks over on my LikeToKnowIt.

A midi skirt is possibly my favourite style of skirt; no matter how they’re styled up, they always look effortlessly classy, and the length is so flattering, even on shorter people. The muted floral print of this skirt is so dreamy, and perfect for the transitional time between spring and summer. The pastels scream spring, but the touches of yellow and orange make you think of warm summer evenings spent on the beach, which is just the perfect combination for this time of year. This would look so darling paired with a simple white cami and white sandals, for a chilled out summer look.

Smocked jumpsuits are my go-to in summer if I’m looking for an easy, comfortable outfit. The elasticated top and wide leg make them perfect for lounging around in, and they’re also a favourite of mine for travelling. The frilled sleeves on this jumpsuit are also such a darling feature! Blue and white stripes are a classic summer pattern, and they pair beautifully with straw and rattan accessories for a summery, French Riviera inspired look.

Breezy wide leg trousers are a must in the warm summer months, and this linen-blend pair are gorgeous. The classic beige colour means that they’ll pair with so many different tops, camis and blouses in your wardrobe, and you’ll be sure to wear them for many years to come. One of my favourite ways to style trousers is with a billowy balloon sleeve blouse for a breezy, sophisticated look. Plus, how can you resist when these are only £12.99!

Strappy heels have been a trend for the past few summers, and they’re definitely on my wishlist this time around. I love how they look paired with a midi skirt or dress, but they also look just as good with a pair of jeans and statement top. The low heel and straps will mean they’re comfortable and easy to walk in, and I could easily see these becoming one of my most worn summer shoes.

Tailored shorts are a staple in my summer wardrobe, as I feel they make me feel so much more put together than denim shorts, and they’re actually just as comfortable! This dusty pink pair would work perfectly with all of the pastel shades in my wardrobe, and could easily be dressed up or down for a day to night look on holiday. I love pairing my tailored shorts with stripes, for a Mediterranean inspired put-together summer look, and this simple striped top is a great (and affordable!) choice. These shorts are also a steal at only £17.99!
