What I’ve Got Planned For May

Dress – Primark // Cardigan – Primark // Sandals – I Saw It First (old, similar here) // Bag – eBay // Sunglasses – Primark

I had such an exciting month in April, so in comparison May is going to be much quieter; which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Although I may not be jetting off out of the country this month I am planning on soaking up as much of the British springtime beauty near my house as possible; flower fields and bluebell filled glades here I come!

What fashion pieces am I searching for?

A PAIR OF WHITE TAILORED SHORTS

I actually found my dream pair of white shorts on ASOS recently, but decided to wait until payday to buy them, but I’m kicking myself now because they’ve sold out! I’ve added them to my Shoptagr (which tracks items and alerts you if they’re back in stock) but I’m worried that I’ve missed my chance. If anyone has seen any white high waisted shorts, with a belt, please let me know.

MORE TROPICAL PATTERNED PIECES

Tropical print and safari print are huge trends this year and I love the way the print looks. I’ve already picked up a top and skirt co-ord and a dress from Primark in different safari themed prints, but I’ve got my eye on a blouse from H&M. I’ve already planned a bunch of outfits around it so let’s hope I can find it in my size!

What beauty products am I hoping to try?

SEPHORA FACE MASKS

Unfortunately we don’t have a Sephora here in the UK, so when I had the chance to visit a store in Rome I picked up some of their famous face masks. I’ve got a sheet mask, a peel off mask and a clay mask to try (they’ll all be featured on upcoming Face Mask Fridays, see a recent Face Mask Friday post here). I’m particularly excited for the banana scented one!

What am I up to?

At the minute I don’t have much planned for May, but with two bank holidays I’m sure I’ll find something to do or somewhere to go, even if it’s only local.

A VISIT TO A FLOWER FIELD

I haven’t officially planned this out yet but one of my goals for late spring/early summer this year was to visit a flower field, such as a lavender field. With the multiple bank holidays, and the promise of good weather, May is looking like the perfect time to do that!

LOTS OF WORK

As some of you may know I am currently a college student, completing a Foundation Degree in Art & Design, and thankfully the course is finally coming to an end. I’ve still got quite a lot of work to do to finish off my final piece, and get my sketchbook ready for marking, but I am so glad to be getting it finished. This course has taken such a toll on my mental health, and with the finish line on the horizon I just can’t wait for it to be over.

What did I accomplish last month?

I was looking for a straw bag last month and I’m pleased to report that I actually found two! I picked up two affordable options, a small square straw bag from Primark (see it here) and a larger straw bag, which is photographed here.

I was also on the hunt for some white sandals, unfortunately I haven’t found my perfect pair yet (I’m actually wearing my sister’s pair here!), but I’m determined to find some before summer is upon us.
