A Review Of 2018

2018 has been one hell of a ride for me; I’ve made amazing memories, but I’ve also faced moments that I hope I never have to go through again. I don’t think I’ve ever had a year where I’ve had moments happen that were so at either ends of the spectrum as I have in 2018. It may have had its ups and downs but as we approach the end of 2018 I thought I’d reflect back over what I’ve learnt, and how I’ve changed, in the past year. It feels like just yesterday that I was spending New Year in Westward Ho! and welcoming in 2018, this year has truly flown by. So, what has happened this year?

HOW HAS MY BLOG CHANGED IN 2018?

My blog has changed and evolved so much in 2018 and I really feel like I have established much more of a brand for myself. The amount of posts I’ve created is still high, but I’ve also chosen to prioritise quality over quantity. I now put a large focus on the photography on my post, as I feel like it can completely change a post, and I’d say almost 99% of my blog photos are taken using my Canon EOS M3; which I got for Christmas last year. Over the past year using a Canon has completely changed my blog and Instagram feed, and I’m so proud of my feed.

I know that it’s not all about the numbers, but I’m quite proud of how much I’ve grown across my social media this year. I’ve hit 1K followers on both Instagram and Twitter and I’m continuing to grow day by day.

HOW HAVE I CHANGED THIS YEAR?

It’s not just my blog that has changed massively this year; over 2018 I have grown up an awful lot. I’ve included two photos above; one from January and one from my latest blog shoot, and it appears that no matter how much my character has changed I still manage to look about fourteen…oh well!

I began the year as a Sixth Form student, with a boyfriend, who did ballet after school, and now all of that has changed. I’m now doing an Art & Design Foundation Degree at college, I’m over my ex (trust me it has taken a while, but you know, in the words of Ariana Grande ‘thank you next’) and I finished doing ballet, which I’d done since the age of two, this summer after a fabulous show. I have become a lot more independent and stronger and I can’t wait to see the person I become in 2019.
