Recently I’ve been straying away from big brands to experiment more with small boutique brands, and I wanted to share some of my the things I’ve added to my wishlist. All of these pieces are perfect as we move into autumn, and stick to my feminine, light colour palette, while still looking seasonally appropriate.
Pastel knitted cardigan // Nude wide leg jumpsuit // Green pattern midi dress // Green handbag
I am in love with this snuggly pastel cardigan from Belly Basket Fantastic (also how fun is that brand name!). The heart details are so darling, and this would look so cute thrown on over a white or pink roll neck, a denim skirt and tights (aka my autumnal wardrobe).
This beautiful nude linen wide leg jumpsuit is a perfect transitional piece as you could wear it by itself with a chunky cardigan on top, or layer it with a roll neck underneath for chillier days. This is definitely one of those pieces that you would reach for on laid-back days, or if you’re working from home and want to remain comfortable.
A midi dress is always a perfect choice, and this green one is so pretty. I’d pair this with an oversized light green cardigan and a pair of classic white trainers for an outfit perfect for walking round town all day or nipping out to the shops.
JW Pei make such gorgeous bags; they’re classic bags with a modern twist, and I’m in love with this green colourway. The light green colour works well for autumn, but is a lighter, more feminine choice compared to a darker sage colour or a more traditional black or brown.
White ruffle hem detail jumper // Floral cream cardigan // Tie detail navy dress // Cream handbag
I don’t often wear black, but this ruffle hem detail jumper could definitely be an exception; I’m in love with the sleeve detailing, and this really is such a simple way of adding a little excitement to a rather boring autumnal outfit. I would style this with either a denim skirt, or even over a white pleated midi skirt, with a pair of black ankle boots.
This cream floral cardigan is possibly my favourite item in this whole post, as I love the darling little floral detailing. This cardigan gives off such granny chic vibes, but as you all know, that is most definitely my aesthetic, and I refuse to give it up as we move into the colder months. Plus, I can never say no to a new cardigan!
This dress is another piece that can be worn by itself with a cardigan on top or layered over a roll neck, and I think the bow detailing down the bottom would look so lovely layered over a simple block colour roll neck, or even a navy striped piece.
Another bag, this cream one is such a staple for your wardrobe, and would pair with so many neutral autumn outfits. Cream and beige become my go-to colours as we move further into September, and this bag would be a perfect choice for all of these earthy coloured outfits, and just look at that ruching.
Mauve midi smock dress // Floral detail blue jumper // Pearl detail cardigan
I have a gorgeous mauve coloured smock dress that I wear to death in the winter months, and this one is so similar that I just had to include it. It’s such a beautiful colour, which doesn’t look odd when paired with black tights, and is such a pretty twist on the usual browns and reds we see at this time of year.
Another floral detail piece, this blue jumper is so adorable. I love the rosebud stitching, and this would look cute layered over a dress, as worn by the model, or by itself with a skirt or denim. The ribbed cuffs make it look so cosy, and I love being able to incorporate pastel colours into my wardrobe even as the rest of the world transitions to a lot of darker tones and black.
This pearl detail cardigan is another one in the running for my favourite piece featured in this post as it is simply stunning. It looks so decadent but is actually a pretty affordable price point, and could be styled up with so many different outfits for a cosy, yet classy and more dressed up, outfit.
Navy tie strap midi dress // Puff sleeve smocked top // Pink patterned pleated midi skirt // Decorative collar floral midi dress
Another gorgeous linen navy piece, which I would style up the same way as I mentioned previously. I love the tie strap detailing, and it’s a great way to carry a little bit of summer into the colder months. I’ve really been on the hunt for pieces to wear for working from home, as I’ve got a good few months of doing uni from the comfort of my flat ahead of me, and I think this navy dress would be perfect.
I love a good puff sleeve, and it’s great that this one is long sleeved. The light floral pattern keeps it pretty and girly, but this would definitely keep you warm as well (which is slowly starting to become a necessity, especially in England!). This top is comfy enough to be worn in casual outfits, but doesn’t look too slouchy, and could definitely be worn for online classes if you need to look a little more professional.
I couldn’t do an autumnal post and not include a midi skirt, and I love how jazzy this one is. I’m sure most of you already have the classic coloured midi skirts of black, white and a block colour in your wardrobe, but this skirt is something just a little more exciting. I love the asymmetric striped pattern and this would be such a flattering style on all sorts of body shapes.
Last but not least is this green patterned midi dress; the gorgeous collar is simply stunning, and I love how decorative and vintage looking this dress is. I have a dress that’s quite similar to this in my wardrobe, but in pink (of course!), and I wear it non-stop throughout the transitional months with ankle boots and a cardigan. These are also great for layering jumpers over the top of and wearing as midi skirts; two outfits for the price of one!
