Dresses Fit For a Heatwave

If you’re anything like me then you have been dying in this recent heatwave, I’ve been doing anything I could to try and stay cool, which essentially means wearing as little fabric as possible. Although I wish it was acceptable to walk around in a bikini all day, I don’t think my neighbours would be too impressed! So, to stay classy and cool, feminine, backless dresses have been my go-to to try and fight the heat.

I added this dress to my wardrobe last summer, and it has become one of the pieces I reach for time and time again as soon as temperatures start to rise. The wooden detailing is so classic, and I love the statement circle belt. As it is last season it is unfortunately unavailable, but I’ve linked plenty of gorgeous alternatives below. I’ve seriously fallen in love with the beautiful bow detail Free People backless dresses; I need them in my life!

The espadrille heel and delicate tied ankle straps make these shoes timeless and feminine, and they’re so comfortable to wear all summer long. I have quite thin feet and often struggle with more open summer shoes, but these fit perfectly.
