What I’ve Got Planned For August

August is my favourite part of summer; it’s typically the time of the year that I go on holiday, and although it doesn’t look like I’ll be going away this summer it still gets me dreaming of sunny days, warm nights and glorious golden hours.

What fashion pieces am I searching for?

MORE CASUAL PIECES

As I am heading off to university at the end of September I am beginning to start planning some more casual everyday outfits that I’d be able to wear to lectures and to socialise in. Casual isn’t really my strong point, but I’m thinking of picking up some jumper dresses and cute tops to wear on a daily basis.

A BELL SHAPED SKIRT

I keep seeing bell shaped skirts all over the high-street and I love how cute they are! I’m particularly after a white one, which I can pair with a wide variety of cami tops and blouses for late summer, but I’m also in love with a lemon print one from H&M, which is sadly out of stock online! Hopefully I’ll be able to track it down.

What beauty products am I hoping to try?

DECIEM SKINCARE

I use my foundation from The Ordinary every single day but I’d love to try out more of their skincare. My skin texture hasn’t been the best recently, and I’ve been experiencing a few breakouts, so I can’t wait to try out some new products to try and combat this.

What am I up to?

I haven’t got much planned for August, so hopefully more fun things will crop up as the month goes on. More than anything I’m looking forward to spending time with my friends and family and making the most of my time at home before heading off to university in late September.

A FEW DAYS AWAY VOLUNTEERING

For the past couple of years I have volunteered on Oliver 68 holidays, a charity that takes disadvantaged children away on holiday, and I’m delighted to be going away with them again! I’ll be heading off to Wales for a week in the middle of July for a few days spent eating ice cream and playing games on the beach.

What did I accomplish last month?

I didn’t manage to find my perfect pair of cropped white jeans, but I did find a gorgeous pair of wide leg denim culottes from Zara that are a fabulous new edition to my wardrobe.

I haven’t picked up any other colourful espadrilles and now that the shops seem to be filling up with autumnal things this may have to be a job for next year! I am potentially planning on saving up and investing in a pair of Castaner wedges next year, which would actually be my first designer investment!
