How To Dress Classy In Hot Weather

Dress – ASOS // Wedges – New Look

Hot weather can really challenge my wardrobe; for someone who can’t stand the heat, and feels the need to be wearing next to nothing the moment temperatures rise above 25 degrees, the summer can be quite difficult. As much as I love the sunshine, and all of the beautiful things that it brings, the warm weather means that I struggle to wear all of the things that I feel the most comfortable in, and it’s taken me a few summers of dressing in my very feminine, classic style to really secure my summer style and find outfits that I can wear in the heat and still feel comfortable in.

I’m never going to be one of those people who wears denim shorts and crop tops day in day out, but some of my normal favourite outfits are just too heavy or covered up for summer, and so finding gorgeous daytime summer outfits became a priority for me. After looking through Pinterest, and taking inspiration from some of my favourite bloggers, such as Julia over at Gal Meets Glam, the obvious decision was to invest in a bunch of pretty summer dresses.

Although I have a wardrobe full of dresses, they’re my favourite thing to wear after all, a lot of them are more suitable for the cooler British weather, and would make me far too hot on a really sunny day. So, instead of my typical covered up dress shape, I opted for a few different backless dresses, such as this gorgeous one that I’m wearing in this post. I adore the look of backless dresses, there’s something so subtly sexy about them, whilst still maintaining that classy and put together look that I love. ASOS Design have really pulled through with some of their latest summer dresses and as well as the one I’m wearing in this post I’ve also picked up this halter neck pink and brown stripe one and another backless green number.
