How I Keep My Lips Hydrated In Summer / AD

Lip mask – Oh K! // Lip balm – Nivea

Juicy lips are the perfect finishing touch to any summer makeup look, meaning that keeping your lips hydrated is a necessity, which can be pretty hard in dry, humid conditions. As someone with rather dry lips I really need to put some effort in to keeping my lips perfect for the summer, and these two steps are what I find work wonders for me.

As you guys know, I love Oh K! face masks, see one of my latest posts featuring them here, so naturally I thought I would try their lip masks, and I am so glad that I did. Although at first I was very, very confused by them (they’re all floppy!) I was so impressed with how plump and refreshed my lips felt afterwards. I’ve only tried the cherry one so far, but I’m excited to try out some others, and I’ll tell you my thoughts when I do.

Combined with the lip masks, for a more regular, daily use, my go-to lip balm is Nivea Soft Rosé. I’ve honestly been using this lip balm since I was six years old, when I used to refer to it as my ‘lipstick’, and I’ve never found anything that works as well with my lips. I apply it in the morning before putting on my lipstick and then put a thick layer on before going to bed, to ensure that I wake up with luscious lips. Throughout the summer, this is also one of my handbag essentials, so that I can pop it on if I feel my lips getting dry throughout the day. The soft texture, and the luxurious scent, is so different to the generic strawberry lip balms that so many brands bring out, and I’d highly recommend it.

Love Chloe x

Thank you to Oh K! for kindly gifting me these products.

Wait, lip masks?! I’ve only just tried my first ever sheet mask a few weeks ago and now there’s another thing to try? Omg. I’m quite intrigued though as I have really dry/chapped lips (especially in the winter). Thanks for sharing your review!

It’s so strange! It’s like a plastic floppy lip shape which you place over your lips – they’re so fun! I can’t believe that you’ve only recently tried sheet masks though, aren’t they the best? x
