A Prom Dress To Make You Feel Like A Princess / AD

Dress – ANGEL EYE // Heels – Topshop (old, similar here) // Earrings – Claire’s

Prom season is upon us, and I love the excuse to don a beautiful dress and feel glamorous for the night. My prom dress last year was one of the most gorgeous gowns I’ve ever owned, see my post on it here, and I know the importance of a beautiful dress for a special occasion, so I wanted to share this stunning number with you.

I featured a dress from the brand ANGEL EYE in a previous post on work-wear, see it here, and I’ve gone on to wear it multiple times throughout spring. The beautiful tailoring, delicate lace and feminine shape is so comfortable and classy, and I’m really impressed with the quality of ANGEL EYE’s pieces, so I was very excited to try their occasion-wear, and this gown didn’t disappoint. The beautiful embroidery and extra details, like a delicate ruffle around the hem, make this dress look so beautiful and expensive, even though this is relatively affordable for a prom dress; coming in at just under £80.

This beautiful dress, adorned in intricate embroidery and sequins, immediately made me feel like a stunning sea princess (I’m thinking if a mermaid had to design a prom dress!) and every time I caught sight of my reflection I immediately felt so pretty and regal.

The stunning lilac-blue colour of the dress is so unique, and I love how it contrasts the pale peachy pink details on the dress and falls in soft waves, almost like a waterfall. Everything about this dress is so soft and delicate, I feel like it represents my personal style so well, which is definitely something I look for in an evening gown; I want it to be glamorous, but I still want to feel like me. Occasion-wear can be so tricky for lots of people to feel comfortable in, and my top tip would be to go for a dress that represents your personality and your style, just dressed up a little.

My up-do was so easy to create, with a quick french plait around the side of my head, and then the rest of my hair gathered into a low side bun, and if you’d like me to do a post featuring some very simple up-dos please let me know! These would also work perfectly for bridesmaids or wedding guests over the coming summer months, and I create them all using only a few hair grips and bobbles.

There’s so many beautiful dresses around at the moment, so I thought I’d share some of the gorgeous ones I’ve spotted (all under £80), whether you need something for prom, graduation, a wedding or you’re a bridesmaid.

Something sparkly…

Something floral…

Something simple…

Are any of you attending prom or graduation this year? Tell me in the comments below! I’d love to see all of your beautiful dresses.

Love Chloe x

Thank you so much ANGEL EYE for gifting me this dress.
