It may only be May but I’m already planning my swimwear for the summer, and I’ve got my eye on quite a few pretty pieces. A swimwear brand that I’ve recently come across is Dutch brand Hunkemöller, who are a longstanding lingerie and corsetry company (which excites me a lot, as that’s the industry I want to get into! See more about that here), and I’ve fallen in love with their gorgeous swimwear line.
This candy stripe one-piece screams vintage summer chic to me, but I love the modern twist of the bright and colourful stripes. Their pieces are fairly affordable, I find that their price points are similar to H&M, but the quality is so much better than that I’ve seen on the high street. The lining is thick enough that the white stripes aren’t see through at all, and the material seems to slim you down and fits your body like a glove.
This fabulous print is also available in a bikini, shop the top here, a more relaxed, non-padded version here, and the two styles of bottoms here and here, and I almost want to add these to my basket too! I love that their bikini tops come in bra sizes, which is great as it assures that you receive a comfortable, well-fitted bikini, and this is so different to the typical XS, S, and so on, style sizing we see on the high street.
This gorgeous swimsuit, with its flattering shape and low-cut back, is such a fun piece, and I can’t wait until summer when I have the chance to wear it; wouldn’t it look so cute paired with a white cover-up, or white paper-bag shorts? At the minute I’ve just been wearing it in the garden, thanks to this beautiful weather we’ve been having, but I can’t wait until I’m next on a beach!
