The Safari Print I’m Obsessed With

Top – Primark // Skirt – Primark // Sandals – I Saw It First (old, similar here) // Sunglasses – Primark // Earrings – Forever 21 (available in store only)

I first fell in love with this blue and white, almost Willow china-esque, print after seeing a very similar pattern on a Tory Burch dress worn by Josie, of Fashion Mumblr. I immediately fell in love with this summery print, combined with the fact that the combination of blue and white always reminds me of the French Riviera, making it even more perfect for summer, and I knew I had to find a dupe that was within my price range.

I spotted this co-ord set in Primark when I was very kindly invited along to the world’s biggest store (which is perfectly situated in Birmingham!), you can watch my vlog all about the night here. They also had the same print in a button up dress version, but I opted for the co-ord, as it will allow me to style up the two pieces separately, as well as together. I love taking co-ords with me when I travel as it lets me create up to three different outfits, simply by styling up each individual part of the set with different tops and bottoms. It saves on packing space, and also means I don’t have to plan as many outfits; a win-win situation. You can see me styling up the top with a comfortable pair of paper-bag waist jeans and a cardigan here.

I’m usually a size 4 (XXS) in Primark tops, but I had to size up in this top, and the size 6 was a lot comfier; so I’d recommend sizing up. I stuck with my regular size (4) in the skirt though, and it’s very true to size. The elasticated back of the top and the skirt meant they were incredibly comfortable to wear all day, even after I’d consumed my weight in Italian food! The skirt was also a perfect length, cutting off just around my ankle, I’m 5’2 for reference; however, it would also make a great midi skirt if you fall into a taller height category.

My love for safari print doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, in fact I’ve recently picked up a gorgeous safari print blouse, I also have my eye on this dress in the same print, and I’m so excited to see what other beautiful pieces come out in this fun, tropical print over the coming months.

Other safari print pieces…
