An Instagrammer’s Guide To… Liverpool

My new series ‘An Instagrammer’s Guide To…’ is the latest addition to the travel section of my blog, and I’m kicking it off with my trip to Liverpool over Easter weekend. In each post I will feature a whole host of different beautiful locations from each place I visit that would make for beautiful Instagram photos. I know that travel isn’t something you do just for the gram, but beautiful photos truly are the cherry on top of a fabulous trip and a concise, easy list to reference is the easiest way to find and locate the prettiest photo spots, especially in a place you’ve never been before. This way you don’t need to spend hours traipsing through endless Instagram location tags and articles searching for locations, it’ll all be in one post!

60 Hope Street

Find it at 60 Hope Street, L1 9BZ.

60 Hope Street is Liverpool’s answer to Peggy Porschen, with its gorgeous floral display, which is regularly updated throughout the year. I fell in love with the beautiful butterfly shaped floral creation and if I lived in Liverpool I know I’d be heading back constantly to see all of the different displays.

Cains Brewery Village

Find it at Stanhope St, Liverpool L8 5XJ.

Although I didn’t get any outfit shots here myself there’s no denying that Cains Brewery Village was overflowing with photo opportunities. From a giant yellow submarine to a chilled out bar filled with flowers and wicker furniture, aptly called Hippie Chic, there was a photo opportunity for everyone. There was also plenty of street art, including a painting of Abbey Road, which would make for fun photos!

Liverpool Exchange Flags

Find it at Liverpool Exchange Flags, L2 3YL.

For gorgeous old stone buildings and a wide cobble stone courtyard Liverpool Exchange Flags is your go-to; I stumbled upon this place by complete chance and I am so glad that I did. It looks almost European, especially in the gorgeous sunshine we’ve been having, and it was relatively empty, which made for a perfect shot.

The Docks & The Mersey

Find it at 3-4 The Colonnades, Liverpool L3 4AA.

Whether it’s Albert Dock, Pier Head, or one of the lesser known docks, the docks are full of gorgeous Mersey-side views and pieces of wonderful architecture, such as the infamous Liver Building. There are Instagrammable shots at every turn; especially if you’re after a cringey, yet necessary, photo posing with the statues of The Beatles.

Crosby Beach

Find it at Crosby and Blundellsands, L23 8SY.

If a beachy shot is what you’re after Crosby Beach is a great option, although I didn’t particularly recommend it as a tourist spot, more about that here, there’s no denying that the miles of sand and sea made for gorgeous photos.

Where else would you like to see in this series? Tell me in the comments below!
