Daily ‘Barely There’ Makeup Routine

You guys know by now that I’m not one for overly dramatic makeup, and especially when it comes to an everyday look I’m all about that ‘barely there’ makeup. Whether that’s a more dewy foundation, or a neutral toned eye look, simple looking makeup is my current go-to and I love how naturally pretty it makes me look.

My current daily foundation of choice is the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick, or if I’m not using this, my other top choice is my all time favourite The Ordinary Full Coverage Foundation, as I love how glowy both of them make me look. I have combination skin and these foundations, once set, will last on my skin all day and not settle into my dry skin, whilst also not making my oily skin overly dewy. Which, for my skin type, is the perfect combination!

After applying my foundation I skip straight to bronzer, as although I love concealer for a more glam, dressed up face I don’t use it on a daily basis and as I’ve been using a liquid blusher I also leave powder until the next step. For bronzer I love using either one of my Makeup Revolution ones, my current favourite is the shade Ready To Go, or the bronzer shade in my W7 Cheeky Trio set. After bronzing up my face I add definition on the hollows of my cheeks with the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette, which gives me killer cheekbones without looking too glam or in your face.

For blusher I’ve been loving using the Benefit Benetint, a cheek and lip stain; I actually stopped using this product for so long but I’ve got back into it recently, and I’m loving it. As it is a liquid product it looks incredibly natural on the skin and it leaves my cheeks looking so rosy and glowing. I love how natural and subtle this looks for the summer months, where I’m not looking for a really heavy makeup look and it pairs so well with the colouring of my face. My favourite highlighter is a mixture of the two light coloured highlights in the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette, which creates a golden pink glow across the high points of my cheeks.

On my eyes I’ve been using the Sleek Goodnight Sweetheart palette, combined with the Revolution Pro Captivate palette for a subtle pink, glowing look. For my lips I’ve been using a few different products, depending on what I’m wearing and what I’ve done with my eyes. My favourites are the Smashbox Stylist Matte and AVON’s Frozen Rose.
