Classic Spring Dresses On A Budget

Classic dresses are my favourite things to wear, especially in the springtime; whether it’s a long sleeved girly dress, or a more summery number with a cardigan, they are the perfect pieces for the transitional period between winter and summer, and they’re a perfectly easy way to create a classic, girly spring outfit. When choosing a spring dress there a few classic styles I go for, that are perfect additions to your wardrobe and will provide spring outfits all season long.

A white dress…

A white dress should be a staple in anybody’s wardrobe; whether it’s a summer picnic, a day out shopping or a special occasion, a white dress is perfect for dressing up or down for any situation. This gorgeous one from Primark, which was only £13, is such a beautiful piece and is practically the definition of my perfect white dress. From the bow detail sleeves to the midi length, this dress encompasses my classically feminine style perfectly and I can see myself wearing this to death throughout the summer.

A neutral dress…

A neutral dress is another fabulous staple; this nude coloured linen one is a great affordable choice for a very simple and classic dress to throw on for casual spring days. This would look great paired with sandals to boots, and everything in between, and I love the chic ancient Roman vibe to this outfit. By adding a belt to this look, and drawing in the waist, I’ve made it into a much more chic silhouette, and I love how the mix of neutrals compliment each other.

A block colour dress…

A block coloured dress, such as this gorgeous red one from SheIn, is a perfect piece for your wardrobe. The button up detail and bow tie waist are such feminine details, and I could see this dress fitting in well with the Gal Meets Glam collection, which highly influences my style. Other classic colours to go for block colour dresses include navy blue, pastel shades such as lilac and lemon, and tan, as well as my favourite choice: pink. Block coloured dresses look so fabulously simple and elegant paired with all sorts of shoes and accessories; my favourite way to style them is with mules in the spring, and wedges as the weather gets warmer, and then a statement bag to add something eye catching to the outfit.

A pink patterned dress…

A pink patterned dress may not be a staple in everyone’s wardrobe, but it’s definitely a go-to piece in mine. This dress just screams spring to me, and I love styling it up with both flats and heels, for all sorts of spring occasions. The use of different pastel shades, and gorgeous shade of pink, makes this dress just so perfect for my girly wardrobe, and I honestly feel like a spring fairy whenever I have it on.

A dark patterned dress…

I’m not often seen in dark coloured clothing, but I couldn’t resist this tropical printed piece from Primark. The revere collar and tie-in waist makes the dress seem so vintage inspired, and I love how well it pairs with my neutral mules and accessories. The colours within the pattern maintains the spring/summer vibe, which is very important when picking out a darker dress for this time of year, but the darker colour makes it very wearable.
