Exciting News!!

I’m sure that quite a lot of you will have seen what I tweeted yesterday, but for those of you that haven’t, I thought I’d share my very exciting news on my blog as well.

I GOT INTO DE MONTFORT UNIVERSITY!

For those of you that don’t know, I’ve been dreaming of going to De Montfort since I was fourteen. Ever since I decided that I wanted to study Contour Fashion I just knew that I wanted to study at DMU, so when they offered me an interview I was over the moon. I was so nervous, but also insanely excited at the interview, and when I returned there for the second time, the first being the open day, I just knew I had to study there.

Yesterday morning, whilst I was actually on the train to another interview, I got the email from De Montfort that I’d been waiting nearly two weeks for. I actually squealed on the train (sorry morning commuters!) and immediately told my mom; I just couldn’t contain my excitement. I’d been (not so patiently) awaiting this response ever since I left the interview room, and it felt so good to see my acceptance in writing.

I can’t wait for September so that I can finally call myself a Contour Fashion student and study something I’ve dreamed of studying for so, so long.
