My Cosy Book Corner

My room is far from Insta-worthy, but I love it nonetheless and so I’ve decided to share a part of it with you all. I’ve always loved reading, ever since I was a little girl, and the bookcase in my room has always been somewhat of a focal point. Adorned with my collection of books, a few photo frames and momentos, and even a couple of boxes of skincare, my cosy book corner pretty much sums me up as a person. Plus, as it sits right next to my bed it has always had a snuggly feel to it and I can easily reach for a book and then curl up in my duvet and read it in the comfort of my bed.

On top of my bookcase I have my adored collection of coffee table books, which I’m slowly but surely building up a pile of. I actually received another title for Christmas, The Dress by Megan Hess, and it is yet another on the pile of girly, gorgeous books that serve to inspire me. All of these books are gorgeous both on the inside and out; illustrated ones like Megan Hess’s books are some of the most beautiful books I’ve ever seen and others in my collection, such as How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are inspire me to be the strong and feminine woman I know I can be.

A new addition to my cosy book corner is a vase of flowers in the far corner. Throughout the Christmas period I had my miniature tree sat here and I liked the little green addition to my room, and as I’ve always loved a fresh bouquet of flowers I love how this looks. To save myself from buying fresh flowers all of the time I picked up these fake flowers from The Range, and wrapped them in green tissue paper to create the illusion of leaves; personally I think that these are incredibly real looking fake flowers, plus they’re pink! However, if you’re not a fan of fake flowers, a bouquet of flowers only costs a couple of quid from Lidl so it’s a very cheap way to decorate my room.
