Pushing Myself To Try Statement Earrings

I’m not typically the statement earring type but I’ve always admired women that can pull them off and I decided, with the arrival of the new year and all, to push myself out of my comfort zone and try them out. Thankfully New Look also had a sale on so I picked up a few different styles to kick off my statement earrings collection.

ANIMAL PRINT

Leopard print has been a major trend for many months now but I’ve never tried it out in jewellery form. These gorgeous oversized earrings are a perfect way to include a touch of animal print in your outfit and I love the addition of the delicate black circle at the top of the earring.
These earrings would look great with a neutral white or nude outfit, to make sure that they remain the main focus of attention. I would style them up with a nude pair of paperbag trousers and a white oversized shirt, just think effortless Parisian style.

GOLD TOUCHES

Gold is such a classic colour for statement jewellery and I’m in love with these delicate swirls and beads on these earrings. The addition of pink beads and pearls make these earrings into my perfect pair and these will match so well with so many of my outfits; I even wore them on New Year’s Eve.

FLORAL

I actually received these for my birthday back in September but, even though I think they’re absolutely gorgeous, I’ve been lacking the confidence to wear them. I love the delicate wire outline of a flower and I feel it is a more wearable, girly version of the wire face outline earrings (though I’ve always wanted a pair). These will be perfect for outfits as we move into Springtime, when I’ll be wearing many more floral outfits.
