Fashion Week Series – LFWF Outfit Diaries

Last weekend my friend Catherine and I ventured off on a fabulous fashion crazy weekend full of too much shopping and a trip to London Fashion Week Festival. It honestly turned into one of the best experiences of my life, because a certain somebody (me) got bumped up to front row!

I wore this gorgeous Chanel inspired tweed suit, paired with a pussy-bow detail Victoriana blouse, to channel a vintage, classy look and truly represent my feminine style at the iconic London Fashion Week Festival. The cropped sleeves and fringe detail on this jacket makes it look much more high end than it actually was, and the skirt is perfectly hugging with a peplum hem detail around the bottom. If you’re looking to make your outfit look high end, but your budget is more high street friendly, making sure that your clothes fit you well is a necessity. High end clothes often have a particular tailored feel to them and recreating this on the high street is easier if you are confident with your clothes size and work to choose pieces that fit and accentuate your figure. As my budget is definitely on a high street level I went for this super cheap, yet incredibly lovely, tweed suit from Romwe; it’s under £20!

We went down to London on a West Midlands Railway train on Friday the 21st of September, the day after my 19th birthday, and booked ourselves into Travelodge London City. This simple, yet efficient, hotel was centrally situated, a thirty second walk from Aldgate Tube Station and only a ten minute tube ride from Euston station. Its central location and comfortable room made it perfect for our fast paced weekend stay and I’d definitely recommend booking here if you’re going down for a weekend to London.

London Fashion Week Festival was unlike anything I’d ever experienced; from the abundance of discounted designer goods to the sheer amount of shopaholics and fashion enthusiasts, it was like a fashion blogger’s paradise. I was incredibly tempted by so many of the designer pieces on show and actually treated myself to a Paul’s Boutique bag; don’t worry they’ve had such an upgrade from the zebra print adorned bags and neon swatches from back in the day! I’ll be showing off all of my new purchases on YouTube soon so I don’t want to spoil anything. There’s lots of pieces that I picked up across the weekend from Oxford Street and Covent Garden as well from cosmetics to clothes to update my autumnal wardrobe and skincare routine.

I am definitely looking into venturing back down to London next Spring for another visit to London Fashion Week Festival, hopefully it will become a bi-annual tradition.

There’ll be a vlog and haul up on my YouTube channel very soon!
