Co-ords are getting increasingly popular as the summers go by and I’m definitely no stranger to this trend, as between me and my sister we’ve got quite a few co-ord sets in the house. Whether that’s a top and skirt, a top and shorts or a top and trousers co-ords make an easy and instant outfit without the fuss of looking endlessly for a top and bottom to make an outfit with. They’re also perfect pieces to bring on holiday as you can wear them as a pair, but also separate them and style them up with different pieces to make different outfits, which will safe you a lot of space in your suitcase!
This summery floral print co-ord from Romwe is a perfect example of a flexible and easily changed co-ord which is just so easy to change into so many different styles. When wearing this in Menorca I played around with how you can tie it up and transformed this one co-ord into three different styles, simply by moving the top and tying the bow in different places.
First of all I styled up this co-ord in the original way it was intended to be worn, with a bow tying up the centre of the top at the front paired with the frilly shorts. I love how chill this outfit looks and I can’t look at it without picturing myself lounging on a tropical beach, ice cream in hand. I love how it shows off a little cleavage and stomach without looking tacky and still creates a girly and fun beach vibe.
Next I pulled the top down, so that it connected with the shorts, and tucked it in. Then I tied the bow detail around my waist to create a playsuit type look. I love playsuits so I would obviously like this look and although it turns quite scandalous down the front I still think it manages to look classy. This could be worn over a bikini, which would offer a little more coverage, if need be and still look perfect as it almost resembles a beach cover up when it’s all in one.
For the final look I twisted the top around for a playful outfit which shows off a little back. This falls off my shoulders in a bardot style which looks effortlessly laid-back and perfect for holiday, and is also perfect if you’re going for that no tan lines look!
I had so much fun playing around with this co-ord and it really did supply me with so many different outfits. I’d definitely recommend investing in a co-ord set if you’re running low on cash and are looking for a piece that will create lots of different summer outfits for little cash, as most of these come in at under £10. It’s a sure fire to spice up your summer wardrobe and save a lot of money at the same time as. if you created these three looks and then a look with just the top and a look with just the bottom then you’ve got yourself five days worth of outfits for the price of one. Romwe has so many co-ord sets in at the minute and I’ve selected some of my favourite top and short ones, like this one, for you all to have a look at!
