April Showers: The Perfect Trench Coat

It’s officially April which means it’s time for those April showers (let’s pretend it hasn’t consistently been raining since about last September), and now it’s time to let yourself enjoy the rain. Gone are the days of looking sad and soggy in the rain – now it’s just another excuse to look glamorous while wearing one of these beautiful trench coats.

You can shop every coat included in the photo below by just clicking on it!

1. Cream Trench Coat – £29.99
This trench coat follows the classic trench coat style with a gorgeous cream colour and classy black details. The mac I have in my wardrobe is similar to this one as it literally goes with everything and transforms any outfit into something classy and elegant. As it’s such a classy style it adds a vintage touch to your outfit and the colour will go with everything in your wardrobe. I usually style it up with a cute Spring floral dress, mules and a camel coloured handbag to stick to the muted, nudes colour palette.

2. Gingham Trench Coat – £36
Gingham is the most on trend pattern to be wearing this season and it definitely looks gorgeous on a trench coat. Gingham is such a versatile print and looks great paired with both dresses and jeans, so can fit a variety of different styles. I think that gingham looks so good with a vibrant red and I’d style it up with a red jumper dress and low black Chelsea boots for a perfect transitional look. Alternatively, for it to fit more seamlessly into my wardrobe I could wear some wide leg white trousers and a nude coloured jumper with nude heels with this gorgeous gingham coat.

3. Pink Trench Coat – £55
There obviously had to be a pink trench coat on this list; would it really be a Chloe post without it? This would probably be the trench coat I’d go for, as it is a girly spin on a classic style. I style up pink with so many things but with this trench coat I’d probably wear a floral midi skirt, cream blouse and low block pink heels.

4. Grey Trench Coat – £55
This grey trench coat, with matching grey details and buttons is so classy and beautiful. Grey is such a staple colour in so many people’s wardrobes as it is essential to a neutral palette and it is a perfect colour for a trench coat. I would pair this coat with a rather neutral outfit, to stick to the grey colour palette. I would wear something like this bell sleeved black and white dress, I’ve got a similar one seen here, and pair it with a pair of over the knee black boots.

5. Check Trench Coat – £65.99
This check pattern is so on trend and although these colours are quite autumnal it can be styled up to be perfect for Spring. I would wear my go-to outfit at the moment which is my bottle green pinafore paired with a white broderie-anglaise top and a scarf. This outfit will be coming to the blog soon!

6. Red Trench Coat – £29.99
Red is such a beautiful colour and is so bright and perfect for Spring. I would add a floral dress with hints of red amongst the flowers to match the red of the dress and some nude coloured mules so that the shoes don’t clash with the coat. To match the nude shoes a nude bag would complete the outfit and match the neutral palette for Spring.

What’s your favourite coat in this post?
