I’ve never been a big ‘brow girl’; I don’t have the patience to painstakingly draw beautiful brows on everyday, and the idea of getting them waxed or threaded honestly terrifies me. In a world where perfectly sculpted brows are one of the most focal points of people’s makeup I always felt a little strange that I just wasn’t bothered about them, but over the past few months I’ve come to accept the fact that I don’t need to have fabulously pruned brows to have nice brows.
I actually quite like my natural brow shape, and although it’s not the perfect arch that I’d get from having them done I think that they frame my face nicely and soften out my features. I like them so much that up until recently I didn’t even fill them in, but I often found myself reaching for something that would add just that little something, without being too overpowering. I tried a couple of different brow products, but I found them all a little too much; I wasn’t looking for something to outline or completely fill them in, I just wanted a little more texture; and that was when I first tried Soap & Glory’s Archery DIY Brow Bar.
I use the darker colour to fill in my brows, and add just a little more coverage, without making them look unnatural. The shade is a perfect match for my hair and brow colour, but there’s also a lighter shade included if your hair is more on the blonde side. I never use much product on my brows, which means that this little pot will last me absolutely ages, and I love how much of a difference only the tiniest little swipe of product can really make.
As I was a bit of a brow novice I started to wonder why my brows weren’t staying put all day; the colour wouldn’t have completely faded by the end of the day, but they definitely didn’t look quite as good as they had when I first applied them, so I began to look for a product that could set my brows in place.
