Blouse – H&M // Shorts – ASOS (old, similar here) // Shoes – New Look (old, similar here) // Bag – Primark
Last weekend my friend, and fellow blogger, Ella and I met up for a working lunch; doesn’t that sound awfully sophisticated? We decided on Windowbox Cafe, a very aesthetically pleasing cafe which offers all sorts of healthy meals and snacks for a very affordable price. I went for the toasted banana bread, with fruit and honey on top, and it was simply delicious. If you’re visiting Birmingham or Sutton Coldfield I’d definitely recommend a visit; plus, as it’s only five minute drive from Sutton Park why not grab lunch here then walk it off whilst taking in the natural beauty of Sutton Park?
I’d had my eye on this gorgeous print blouse ever since it was released and I am so glad I picked it up. It is that perfect transitional spring/summer piece as it is covered enough to keep your warm on cooler spring days, but the pattern is so bright and colourful that it’s perfect for summer. It also comes in a more laid-back bardot version, which would be perfect for summer. H&M currently have a whole range featuring this fabulous print, and I’m tempted to pick up even more pieces; I particularly like this button up midi dress, these trousers and this scarf.
Paperbag shorts are one of my favourite things to wear in summer, as they look so classic and feminine, and I find them so much more flattering than denim shorts. I love styling them up with blouses, as seen in this outfit, but I also like pairing them with cami tops and broderie anglaise pieces in hotter weather; as seen in my outfits in Menorca last year.
Some other cute paperbag shorts…
Whilst visiting this time one of the women who works there actually approached me and asked about my blog and Instagram, which was a little surreal. They’re very supportive of us influencers though, and you can expect a cute comment from their Instagram if you tag them in a post!
