I’d never used a hydrogel mask before so I was excited to try out this mask; plus, I was so enticed by the pearl extract as pearls are a large part of my aesthetic, but I’d never used them in skincare before.
The mask came in two separate pieces, which made it incredibly easy to apply to the face. The fact that it’s a hydrogel mask, meaning it’s a little thicker than a typical sheet mask, also meant that it held its shape a little better, making it easier to apply without it folding over or getting screwed up. The only negative was that it didn’t quite fit over my jawline, which is one of my problem areas, which I would have liked it to do.
This mask has to be left on for thirty minutes, which is a little longer than I’m used to, but I actually found it quite relaxing as I wasn’t feeling very well so I used the time to have a lie down and chill out. I actually found that the mask had dried up, signalling that it was ready to be taken off, around the 25 minute mark, especially around the mouth and chin.
My face felt rejuvenated and glowing after I took the mask off and stayed hydrated all night, which is definitely a big positive. I didn’t even feel the need to apply moisturiser before I went to bed, and my skin still felt hydrated the morning afterwards!
Would I re-use this mask?
I would definitely re-use this mask and I’d recommend it to anyone who has skin that is more on the drier side, that could benefit from a shot of hydration. I enjoyed the thicker hydrogel style and I’m so excited to try out more of this style of mask!
