Menorca Outfit Diaries

Holiday is one of my favourite times for experimenting with fashion and wearing all sorts of outfits that I wouldn’t be able to at home; mainly because it’s much less acceptable at home to walk around in a bikini cover up! I thought I’d share some of my favourites with you, from simple and comfy day time outfits which keep me cool but make sure I’m still chic, to night time outfits perfect for hitting up the town.

This is hands down one of my favourite holiday outfits; from the fun and bright colour of the coral skirt to the brown wedged heels this outfit just screams summer to me. Taking inspiration from my post on styling up the individual parts of co-ord sets I used this top from a Romwe matching set and mixed it up with a different bottom. The soft pink, brown and coral tones on the top tie in perfectly with the skirt and I think it creates a very girly, pretty summer outfit. These wedged sandals are fabulous as they can be paired with so many different holiday outfits, plus they’re much easier to walk in than heels! I added my rose gold jewellery pieces to tie in with the pink tones of the outfit and I love the way it looks. Rose gold is definitely my favourite metal as it looks so girly and feminine and I aim to curate a whole collection of rose gold rings, necklaces and bracelets.

This outfit featured in my post on co-ords but it was so pretty it just had to feature in both! I’m in love with this tie up co-ord and wore it so much on holiday. It’s such an easy thing to throw on over a bikini but also works as an outfit for day trips as it keeps you covered and protects your shoulders from the sun. I love the soft blue colour of this co-ord combined with the floral print as it looks so soft and ethereal. The frills along the edge of the shorts and shoulders make it even more soft and girly and it’s so cute.

For a sunset boat trip that me and my family went on I wore this stunning white beach cover up. This piece, with its immense detailing, eyelets, lace and bow waist feature is honestly one of my favourite holiday pieces of all time. This will definitely be coming away with me for years to come as it’s one of the prettiest holiday items I’ve ever seen and perfectly describes the vibe I’m going for when on the beach or exploring the town on holiday. Perfectly classy with a touch of vintage charm; I love it!

I don’t know what’s more beautiful, the dress or the setting for this photo. There’s not many things more sublime than sitting in a gorgeous café surrounded by pink flowers with the sea lapping up against the edge of the harbour right beside you. This bardot white lace dress with flared sleeves is such a chic and girly summer dress and it really gives me French Riviera vibes. I paired it with these brown espadrille style gladiator sandals which tie up round my ankle; with their classic summer style they’ll never go out of fashion and they’re the perfect shoes to go with every outfit on holiday.

Whilst on another boat trip I decided on a pair of paperbag waist shorts and a bikini top. The bikini top and shorts are unfortunately from last year so I can’t link the exact same ones, however I’ve found some alternatives below. Paperbag waist shorts are my favourite type of shorts to wear on holiday as they’re just so classy. They immediately make any simple holiday outfit look much more put together and I find them so much more flattering than denim or cotton shorts. This nude pair goes so well with so many pieces in my wardrobe and I often pair it with white or broderie anglaise tops and blouses in the day time on holiday to keep me covered.

This outfit was a little unusual for me to wear as it’s quite bold and bright but I figured the best place to try it out was on holiday so why not? I borrowed these trousers from Sophie to create this look and they’re so comfortable, so I’d definitely recommend doing a trip down to Primark and getting a few pairs of their paperbag waist trousers. The red lipstick in this outfit just really makes the look and contrasts the white so well to really make my lips look luscious and my makeup really pop. This outfit is so subtly sexy I really, really like it.

This pink day dress, also shown in the first photo, is the perfect summer dress for exploring and relaxing. With its adjustable tie waist it’s still comfortable even after a large holiday lunch (which I indulge in many days while abroad!). The midi length is so flattering, especially if you’re petite, as it makes you look taller and elongates your legs. I paired it with this adorable flamingo print headscarf, which I tied around my hair for a laid back, relaxed look. I love styling up head scarves and wraps on holiday as I think they look so pretty and hippy inspired, plus they’re so inexpensive!

This very Parisian inspired look is such a classy outfit, which shows how I style up paperbag waist shorts for a more formal, evening look. The stripes are very flattering and on trend and will forever evoke thoughts of timeless French fashion, which is never a bad thing! My favourite white heels come out yet again; they’re just so comfortable and go with everything!
