I have spent years collecting books to add to my own personal library, and, alongside the copious amounts of fiction that I own, I also collect non-fiction fashion books, ranging from books on ethical fashion to a book of collections of looks that inspired Barbie’s wardrobe (if you haven’t read Barbie Takes the Catwalk by Karan Feder I definitely recommend!). I’ve always got a long, long list of books on my wishlist, so I thought I’d share some of the ones that have currently caught my eye.

Patrick Grant is a strong campaigner for better quality, British-made products, and in this book, that attempts to tackle the over-consumption crisis, he encourages readers to focus on building a good quality, made-to-last wardrobe.
I’ve been lucky enough to meet Patrick Grant, when he awarded me second place at the 2022 Fashanne Awards, and heard him speak many times on his views on ethical fashion. He’s such an inspiring figure in the British sustainable fashion space, and I can’t wait to share what wisdom he imparts in this latest book.

This book dives into the world of natural fabrics and artisanal craft, and how it could be the key to saving a fashion industry polluted by synthetic fibres and fast-fashion production.
As a lover of bio-based fabrics who is so interested in how natural fibres can help revolutionise our garments I am so intrigued to find out more about the highly skilled craftsmen and farmers across the globe that help contribute to this natural industry.
LONDON UPRISING: FIFTY FASHION DESIGNERS, ONE CITY
Tania Fares & Sarah Mower

As a British designer I love seeing what designers have been born and bred (or established themselves) here in my home country. This book explores the works of some of the most influential British designers over the past fifteen years.
I have read so many books about iconic British design legends from the 20th century, but I’ve never seen one dedicated to the current rising stars of British fashion, so this would be an incredibly interesting read.
Have you read any fashion books that you would recommend? Let me know!
