Spring is my favourite season to dress for; I love the chance to layer my favourite dresses and skirts with some of my funky knitwear, and play around with texture and colour. As the world blooms around me I love taking inspiration from the blossom adorning the trees, the flowers lining the paths, and all of nature bursting into life. Vibrant florals, colourful prints, and fun patterns are on my wishlist this year: it’s set to be my most colourful spring wardrobe yet.
DAMSON MADDER DENIM JACKET
If there’s one thing my wardrobe is severely lacking in it, it’s jackets. I already mentioned how I’m searching for a quilted jacket in my recent on things I’m hoping to thrift this spring, but I’d also like to bring this fun denim number into rotation.
From the pretty pink pin-stripe, to the frilled edges on the pockets, this jacket is so feminine, it would make the perfect top layer to any of my outfits. Damson Madder has been getting a lot of attention recently, and I’m definitely counting myself as one of their many fans.
ALÉMAIS PRINTED MIDI DRESS
I first spotted this brand whilst meandering around Liberty’s in London and fell in love. The whimsical, colourful prints are exactly what I look for from a statement spring/summer piece, and I love the stunning illustrations printed across this dress.
The retro postcard style print reminds me of a summer dress I had as a child, which has brought up feelings of true nostalgia for childhood summer holidays, and I can already picture myself dancing around in this on a European getaway.
HANDMADE BAROQUE PEARL BRACELET
When travelling Thailand I saw a gorgeous pair of baroque pearl earrings, and (for some reason!) didn’t end up buying them. It’s one of those pieces that will probably play on my mind until the end of time, and so I’m trying to fill the baroque pearl shaped hole in my life.
This stunning handmade bracelet would be a great place to start. Paired with a simple midi dress and statement pearl earrings this is the perfect accessory for the warmer months.
