Dress – Forever 21 (old, similar here) // Roll neck – SheIn // Boots – New Look (old, similar here)
I bought this dress a while ago, you can see it styled up a very long time ago here, but since then it’s been sitting in my wardrobe for months and months with me really struggling on how to style it. Floral dresses are usually the easiest things to style up in my wardrobe, but for some reason I really struggled with this one. When planning outfits for Portugal I knew that I wanted ensembles that would keep me warm in the December sunshine, whilst also fitting in with the gorgeous beachy setting. There’ll be a winter guide to Lagos, Portugal coming up very soon with even more pretty photos of this beautiful Algarve treasure.
On one of our first days there we headed down to the beach during golden hour, which is definitely one of my favourite times to take a stroll down by the water, and I couldn’t resist taking a few photos. The weather was so lovely whilst we were there, we were very lucky, it was warm enough for bare legs and no need for a coat, so I decided to pair the dress with this blue roll neck so that I could leave my coat at home. I love the look of this layered outfit and I’m definitely going to try pairing some of my other summer dresses with roll necks for more looks that feature my favourite light pastel shades, whilst still keeping me warm.
I styled the outfit with my current favourite shoes, my white stiletto boots, which you’ve seen countless times over my blog and Instagram. They’re just so versatile, and I find myself reaching for them almost everyday; unfortunately they’ve sold out, but I’ve found some very similar alternatives here and here.
