I was lucky enough to spend Easter weekend in the lovely city of Liverpool, celebrating both Easter and my dad’s birthday, and we did so much exploring of this iconic and beautiful city (there’ll be a full post on my highlights of the trip up later this week!). I wore this outfit on the last day of our weekend break, which also happened to be Easter Sunday, and I loved it so much that I couldn’t wait to share it with you.
One of my favourite parts of Easter is the excuse to dress up in a pretty dress (as if I don’t get to do that enough anyway!) and I am so impressed with how comfortable and pretty this one from Primark is; and it’s only £15! It reminded me of a 1950s film, it is like something Audrey Hepburn would wear in a film set on the Mediterranean, and who doesn’t want to look like the ever elegant Audrey Hepburn? I’ve linked some similar dresses I’ve spotted with a vintage vibe underneath, all of which are below a £50 price point.
I needed an outfit that was both pretty and dressed up enough for Easter Sunday, but also practical enough to be walking around in all day, and this outfit ticked both of those boxes. The midi length of this dress, and the subtle slits up the side, makes it both elegant and flattering. I love how the dress is drawn in under the bust, and then floats down over the rest of the body, which highlights the figure whilst covering any lumps and bumps; which was very needed after an Easter Sunday roast!
These light coral coloured block heels, also from Primark, are so comfortable, and they’re one of my favourite shoes to wear when I am dressing for an occasion, but I also don’t want to end up with aching feet. Unfortunately I picked these up last year, so they’re no longer available, but I’ve found some very similar ones here, here and in wide fit here.
I’ve been wearing this straw bag non-stop ever since I bought it and it was the perfect bag to carry round with me in Liverpool. It is big enough to fit everything I needed for the day, but is light and easy to carry, and it looks so chic with my spring and summer outfits. Straw bags truly are the perfect accessory to achieve that ethereal spring vibe and I’ve shared lots of different straw bags in this post here.
