Valentine’s Day is a perfect time to create a pink-toned, romantic look, hopefully to match a gorgeous pink gown, and these PÜR Cosmetics products are perfect for the job.
I began this look with the PÜR Cosmetics No Filter Blurring Photography Primer, which covers imperfections and colour corrects redness in the skin to lay a base for a full coverage look. I loved how glowy this made my skin, it’s a great base if you’re a lover of the dewy look, as I definitely am. It made my skin have a healthy shine all day, and it didn’t even get oily, which happens with a lot of my other dewy primers. In order to add to the high coverage look started by the pore shrinking and imperfection blurring primer I added PÜR Cosmetics Liquid Veil Foundation. I’d never used an aerosol foundation before, but thanks to the PÜR Cosmetics handy website I decided to use one of my oval blending brushes to apply it, after spraying over sections over my face. At first, I must admit, I was a little shocked at the colour of this, it was rather orange, in tomorrow’s video I literally describe myself as an ‘oompa-loompa’. However, after a few minutes this foundation softened into my skin and, somehow, matched my skin tone a lot better. It was still a little dark for pale old me but it definitely lost its orange tint, and in fact just left me with a healthy glow.
This gorgeous face and eye palette, entitled ‘Dreamy’, is my perfect colour palette. The warm pink and bronzy tones neutrals work perfectly with my colouring, and the pink is a perfect colour for a romantic Valentine’s Day look. I love the ideology behind this palette, which is all about chasing your dreams and loving yourself; as someone who is single this Valentine’s Day this self affirming, loving idea is a perfect reminder that I can provide just enough love myself.
