There’s no denying that animal print is the biggest trend of this year. Every man and his dog is dressed head to toe in animal print and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many people rocking leopard print at one time. For a very long time I couldn’t find my perfect animal print piece, but when I saw this adorable leopard print long sleeve top in Primark I knew that this would work. It fits my style, which is what kept putting me off other animal print pieces; the majority of these pieces are very in your face and bold, which looks so amazing on lots of you guys, but it just doesn’t fit my style. This top however is a lot more subtle, and I love the tortoiseshell buttons and lettuce hem sleeves. Leopard print is definitely my favourite animal print, as I’m not a massive fan of snake skin or crocodile skin, something about it just makes me feel very uncomfortable (it’s odd I know!).
I’ve collected together some of the other beautiful leopard print pieces that I feel would fit into my style, without being too overboard with the trend. Don’t forget that you can shop all of these products by clicking on the photo of it!
This satin peplum hem blouse would look stunning paired with a pair of white high waisted trousers or potentially a black satin pleated midi skirt, I’ve seen a really cheap one of these in Primark recently if you want to get a great deal on one!
I’m looking to expand my earring collection and pick up some snazzier, more exciting pairs, such as these gorgeous leopard print hoop detail earrings with a beautiful textured leopard print section.
Textured, almost feathered, leopard print is also seen on this belt from Accessorize. Accessorize have a whole section of gorgeous leopard print pieces and accessories in at the minute, I’ve also got my eye on a cute bag with a leopard print pocket at the front of it. Both the belt and the bag are very subtle ways to add a touch of the trend into your outfit whilst not going too over board.
This leopard print wrap dress has been on my wishlist ever since the trend really picked up speed; I love the feminine shape of it with the delicate ruffle details and how it wraps across and ties in at the waist. This accented waist will help accentuate your figure and add to the flounce in the skirt of the dress.
The second dress on here is a longer, fancier animal print midi dress with a very plunging neckline. As someone who doesn’t have much in the way of cleavage I think I would opt for a black cami or black roll neck underneath it, which would also help keep you a little warmer as the temperature begins to drop.
The last piece, a pair of satin leopard print shorts, may not seem seasonally appropriate but they would look great paired with tights in the wintertime, and as this trend is predicted to last well into next Spring they will definitely be an investment piece. I love the rectangular belt buckle detail, it adds such a vintage vibe to them, and it really accentuates the flared paperbag waist detail.
