Florals are a staple part of Spring, and floral dresses are definitely my favourite way to style up this trend. I’ve recently picked up a few adorable summery dresses from Forever 21 and SheIn and I couldn’t wait to share them with you. They’re great transitional pieces (I didn’t think I’d be saying that about summer arriving in England in June!) and they can be styled up with a jacket for Spring, see my latest post on how to style a suede jacket for more on this. Alternatively they can be worn with sandals, as I have in these photos, for warmer summer days.
This first number is a gorgeous lilac and lemon floral dress from Forever 21. I picked this up mainly because of its ruffle sleeves; they’re such a vintage detail that I think makes this such a classic piece. This dress is made of linen material, meaning it’s light and airy for summer. This would be perfect for wearing in England and abroad alike as it isn’t too beachy to stick out in the city, but will also keep you cool in the sunshine.
I paired the dress with a wide rim hat, with floral details, and brown suede sandals. The tie up espadrille style sandals reminds me of a very Mediterranean style and they are the perfect addition to this summery outfit. The rose gold details in my jewellery tie in nicely with the girly outfit and I can’t wait to wear this outfit all summer long.
I’ve never been one for maxi dresses, because as I’m only short they often drown me, but since last summer I’ve been trying to force myself to step out of my comfort zone and try them out; see my post about maxi dresses from last summer here.
This bluebell print dress is so bohemian and summery, I can’t wait to wear this on holiday. I can just envision wearing this dress on the beach with the skirt fluttering in the wind and my hair flowing behind me. If a summer dress doesn’t make you feel like this, is it really the perfect summer dress?
This dress features ruffled sleeves again, which is evidently a trend in my wardrobe this summer. The soft ruffles combined with the delicate floral pattern makes this such a girly, classic piece.
This wisteria print dress is honestly one of the prettiest dresses I’ve ever owned, and it was incredibly affordable! At only £9 this is possibly the cheapest, and prettiest, dress in my wardrobe. It is made of beautifully thick and textured fabric which makes it feel a lot more high end than it is.
I paired this dress with the brown suede sandals again as I think it makes it look incredibly summery. With sandals this dress can be worn as a day dress, but swap those for heels and this dress can be carried all the way into a night look.
Are you into floral dresses this Spring?
