Red can be seen as such a scary colour as an everyday lipstick, but I’ve found some very wearable shades that I don’t feel self conscious about putting on my lips on a daily basis. These two moisturising and colourful shades from AVON are perfect as they have a hydrating and buttery formula, which stop your lips from chapping throughout the day. The colours are not super duper pigmented, which actually works in their favour, as they make perfect light and glossy everyday lipsticks.
Flirt, pictured standing up in the photographs, has a burnt orange tint running through it and works great with an outfit with hints of coral or lighter shades of red. This is such a summery shade I can’t wait to wear it with a multitude of different light and fresh makeup looks over the coming months.
Poppy is a deeper shade, closer to the traditional idea of a ‘red lipstick’, and is the perfect lipstick to put on which can carry your makeup all the way through from work to going out. It doesn’t look too out of place in the office, or at school or college, but also looks fancy enough to wear at night; which is a winner in my book!
