I currently own three coffee table books (although I’m yet to actually own a coffee table, but that’s not the point…). Coffee table books are taking the world by storm, purely because they look good displayed; what we do for aesthetics, eh? They can cost anywhere from £15 up to hundreds of pounds, which may seem absolutely ridiculous, yet they’re flying off the shelves.
So what books have I got?
The Gospel According To Coco Chanel – Karen Karbo
(buy it here)
This was the first fashion book that I got and I still love it to this day. This book is a biography of one of the most influential and iconic fashionistas in the world, Coco Chanel, but with a wonderfully quirky twist. When reading this I honestly felt like Karen, the author, was sat across from me talking to me about her idol Coco. The book is so natural and chatty I got through it so quickly and instantly wished that I could go back and read it again with fresh eyes. This book will make you love Chanel even more, if that’s possible, and it’s a great coffee table book.
How To Be Parisian (Wherever You Are) – Caroline de Maigret, Anne Berest, Sophie Mas, Audrey Diwan
(buy it here)
I got this book for Christmas from my wonderful parents (shout out to my mom who reads my blog!) and it honestly changed my life. It is a what it says on the tin, a guide on acting parisian wherever you are. With this book you also basically receive a parisian kick-ass attitude that will leave you full of confidence, empowerment and a general ‘I am the most amazing, most fashionable woman out there’ kind of feeling; what more could you want?
Paris Through A Fashion Eye – Megan Hess
(buy it here)
This one probably gets the award for the most aesthetically pleasing book in the entire world, bought for me by my wonderful boyfriend. Gorgeous illustrations? Check. Rose gold pages? Check. Pink aesthetic? Check. This is an in depth guide to Paris for any one interested in the fashion side of this gorgeous city. I was very fortunate to visit Paris back in 2014 for a fashion trip, which was absolutely amazing, but I wish I’d had this with me as it’s simply the best guide to Paris I’ve ever seen.

Howdy! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment
form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having problems finding one?
Thanks a lot!
