I thought I’d take a break from all the gift guides to share some of my favourite Christmas traditions. Every household has lots of different things that they do each year which signify it being Christmas and make festive memories extra special.
Watching A Muppet’s Christmas Carol
A Muppet’s Christmas Carol is one of my favourite Christmas movies as it’s the one we watched each and every year growing up. The Muppets are just so adorable and this is a truly magical film full of festive cheer and lots of love. Nothing can compare to snuggling down in a blanket and watching a Christmas movie, my other favourites include Love Actually, Nativity and The Holiday.
Decorating The House
Decorating the house for Christmas is one of my favourite things to do (have a peek into my house while I decorate in my new vlog here). Putting up the tree, adorning everything with tinsel and putting up festive window stickers is such a fun thing to do all together and it’s a great way to create a festive spirit. See my post on achieving Christmas aesthetics here.
Getting A New Christmas Outfit
A new Christmas dress is one of the most exciting things for me each year, you can get some inspiration from my Festive Lookbook. I love to go for red dresses to match my festive atmosphere and this year is no different. Nothing compares to the feeling of wearing a new dress and new shoes, it’s such a confidence boost!
Decorating The Table
Making the table look incredibly festive is something which really puts me in the Christmas mood. I’m sure my house’s table settings will be included in a Christmas vlog or Christmas video soon enough but I’ll briefly describe, we have a red table cloth with Santa decorated table mats and coasters (similar here) with a Rudolph table runner (similar here) with little snowmen name places.
