Taylor has such a diverse, yet consistently beautiful, sense of style that I can’t help but fall in love with everything she wears. I’ve been a fan of Taylor and her music since I was very little and she inspires me in so many different ways, not only with her wardrobe. Her style has developed so much over the time she’s been famous that she has practically covered every style I’ve ever been in to and that’s what makes her really original and iconic in my eyes. My favourite era of Taylor Swift fashion was probably around 2012 where her style was extremely classy combined with her statement red lipstick; I feel this connects to my current style as it’s very girly and pretty. I’m going to take you through a brief timeline of Taylor’s fashion throughout her fame to show why I love her so much!
2006
When Taylor first got famous her style was extremely ‘countryfied’ with long, flowing dresses and lots and lots of cowboy boots. Although I personally wouldn’t wear a look that’s quite as country as this I do like the flowing material and the bohemian vibes.
2007
Taylor’s style had completely changed by 2007 and was now a lot more princess inspired as seen in the corsets and flowing ballgowns. This is a very pretty, cute era for Taylor and it suits her young, good girl vibe very well.
2008
Taylor’s style had really changed and matured by the following year. I love the glitz and glamour of the sequinned dress, I actually have a skirt that’s very similar. This look just looks perfect for any party, so dazzling!
2009
This look from 2009 incorporates the tulle, princess vibes from previous years with the glittery, more grown up look of 2008. I think Taylor looks stunning here as the strapless dress combined with the gorgeous up-do creates such a beautiful look.
2010
Taylor’s street style in 2010 still shows remnants of her country style at the start of her career with her knee high boots and bohemian style top. The wide, chiffon top is actually still in style, I’d wear this!
2011
Taylor’s style in 2011 was very cute and girly, similar to my style now. Pretty floral dresses and cardigans were staple pieces in this era of Taylor fashion.
2012
2012 brought the start of the classic red lip Taylor, a very classy, vintage inspired look. This nautical outfit is simply perfect, once again cute little dresses are very apparent in Taylor’s wardrobe.
2013
Her red lipstick continues to be a prominent feature of her look but Tsylor begins to move away from the girly little dresses and opts for the still stylish skinny jeans, brogues and blazer. My style is actually very similar to this at the moment for a casual look.
2014
I love this era of Taylor as she just looks so effortlessly classy in her skirts, blouses and heels. Taylor never seems to have a hair out of place, so naturally beautiful!
2015
How classy does Taylor look here? Her style in 2015 was made up of short dresses and heels, how gorgeous are these heels, I’m in love!
2016
Taylor’s look has completely transformed here into a much cooler, more hipster look with short denim shorts and edgy, cropped hair. Somehow Taylor still manages to pull it off!
2017
Taylor has perfected the monochrome New York street style here and although it’s very far removed from her girly, cute style of years before I love it just as much.
That completes the timeline of Taylor’s style, I love each and every era of her fashion evolution and I think she truly is a style icon.

I quite agree, a very stylish lady.
