Accessories are truly the making of any outfit, but I must admit that up until recently I didn’t really place much importance on them. I wear the same pair of earrings 90% of the time and I’ve never really explored any adventurous headbands or clips, but it was starting to get a bit boring, so I set myself the task of really working on what accessories I pair with my outfits, and I was shocked with the results. I loved how simply adding a scarf or a headband could lift the entire outfit and make it look so much more unique, and in some ways much more high end, and now I’m looking to invest in a larger collection of accessories to really get the most out of my outfits.
EARRINGS
Statement earrings are one of my new found passions, and I love my small, but growing collection. All of these beautiful and intricate earrings look great paired with minimal, and occasion wear, outfits alike and I love how they just add that extra little something to your face.
HEADBANDS
Up until recently I hadn’t worn a headband since I was about twelve, but I saw a few other bloggers and instagrammers wearing them and I thought, why not? They’re such a cute way to make a boring hairstyle look super cute and neutral ones are such a simple way to add to an outfit without distracting from it.
NECKLACES
Necklaces, especially dainty pendants, are such a classic way of adding elegance to an outfit. I love the few necklaces I have, my go-to place to buy them is Accessorize, and I particularly love the look of rose gold pendants.
HANDBAGS
Handbags are by far the most obvious and, arguably important, accessory to add to an outfit. I am working on growing my handbag collection, as it is a part of my wardrobe that I’ve somewhat neglected, and I’m really starting to appreciate the importance of a beautiful handbag.
HAIR ACCESSORIES
Hair clips are coming back in a big way, started by the pearl hair clip craze earlier this year, and I love how cute they look. All of these are perfect little additions to an outfit where you want to add just a touch of sparkle, and some of them are even inspired by, and great dupes for, the classic Chanel hair slide; so what’s not to love?
