Outfit Diaries – Rachel's Birthday Party

It was another of my friends’ 18th birthday this weekend so I got all dressed up for her party; this outfit is actually quite summery for this time of year but as we were inside, and parties tend to get pretty hot, I thought it was for the best. I’d just like to say happy birthday to Rachel before I get into this post; I hope you had a fabulous birthday!

I decided to wear the sheer lace top I recently picked up from New Look (also seen in another blog post here) and layered it with a white vest top. It’s such a pretty and delicate top, I think it really adds an extra special touch to any outfit and immediately makes anything look like occasion wear.

I paired the lace top with high waisted nude coloured shorts which I wore all summer and have been on my blog many times (here). Instead of wearing them as substitutes for denim shorts, like I did in summer, I dressed them up and wore them as a more formal pair of shorts; I think it creates a nice, classy effect.

To finish off the look I wore my white block heels, which have been on my blog so many times I’ve actually lost count, but they’re amazingly comfortable and perfect for dancing in all night. I also added my staple Pandora pieces; my charm bracelet, my bow ring and my princess ring.

Top – New Look

Shorts – ASOS

Heels – Boohoo

Jewellery – Pandora

Please wish Rachel a happy birthday in the comments!

Love Chloe x

Maybe it was Jennifer Aniston that did it, or maybe because Rachel wanted to work in fashion so we just went along with her being the \”fashionable one,\” but whatever it was, Rachel Karen Green held our sartorial hearts in the late ‘ and early ‘ and we even still covet some of her better outfits today.
