Midi skirts are all the rage this season and with so many different variations of this style, you’re bound to find one design that you love. For me, midi skirts were always a bit scary; I thought they’d make me look incredibly small but I couldn’t have been more wrong! Midi skirts and midi dresses give my shape such a nice silhouette and actually elongate my legs and waist.

For this post I have gone through and picked out my favourite midi skirts that I’ve seen in store and online. I’m sticking with my new way of doing these posts where I show you pieces I would style them up with instead of just the midi skirts on their own. As always, just click on the links to shop.

This gorgeous satin pleated midi skirt incorporates the shiny fabric trend that’s coming in this autumn/winter as well as being an incredibly stylish midi skirt. The blush colour of this is so beautiful and classy which makes it perfect for styling up for going on a night out with a nice top and heels, as I have with this collection of clothes. This white lace top is so classy and paired with this skirt it creates a very feminine outfit. These block heeled white heels have an edgy twist to them due to the decorated heel but I feel like it ties in with the outfit whilst adding a touch of individuality. The final piece for this outfit is this small, light pink bag – its shape is bang on trend as it almost looks like a Chloe dupe!

Tiered Midi Skirt

This tiered midi skirt is right on trend as it incorporates the trend of paisley prints (think about trying to copy the pattern on an old sofa!) meaning this is a perfect transitional piece which can be carried into the autumn/winter months. I would pair this skirt with a decorative black Victoriana style blouse to balance out the ruffles and decoration on the top of the outfit. I’d add chunky black boots as we move into the winter time to keep your feet nice and warm! The final piece to this outfit would have to be a simple black bag  as the rest of the outfit is very decorative and eye catching so this should be kept quite simple.

This gorgeous patterned midi skirt is absolutely stunning; I could definitely use this in my wardrobe! The colours are just right for autumn as they’re warm toned and this could be styled up or down for different looks. I’d style this with a black silky vest top which I could layer with a warmer toned pink/tan jacket. To finish off the look I’d add black heels with gold detailing to match the colours in the skirt.

I’d definitely suggest investing in a few midi skirts to wear this autumn/winter as I can’t see them going out of style anytime soon! I’ll keep you updated with the ones I buy over the coming months.

Love Chloe x
