How To Style: Black Jeans

Black jeans are a staple piece in everyone’s wardrobe and this high waisted pair from New Look have been my go to pair for many years. I struggle to find skinny jeans that are actually skinny enough to fit my legs (small girl problems right there!) but these not only fit my waist perfectly but also actually pull in tight to my ankles; I could hardly believe it when I put them on! Black jeans are so versatile and I believe that the perfect pair can easily transition from day to night.

I decided to put together two different outfits, one a little more for going out on the night time and one for use in the day. Both include this gorgeous baby pink colour which is perfect for the spring time and perfectly fit my girly, classy style.

This outfit is very pretty yet still remains casual. I find it quite hard to find daytime outfits that can look classy without looking too overdressed but I think this outfit captures that vibe perfectly. I paired the black high waisted skinny jeans from New Look with this frilled top from H&M, although it’s long sleeved it’s very thin making it not too heavy for the spring time and still manages to keep you warm on the cooler days (which are quite common in the British spring time!).

I paired these with my favourite shoes at the moment, my little pink brogues from Primark. They finish off every outfit so perfectly I could hardly not use them in this post! I really like this outfit and the little details about it make it just that little bit more special. The frilled edges of the top are just so pretty and feminine, I’m in love.

This outfit is a little bit fancier and with the heels this would be perfect for a night out. I truly believe that jeans can be worn on a night out, as long as they’re styled up correctly. For this outfit I paired the New Look jeans with this frilled blouse from Primark and pink block heels, also from Primark. The heels have come out a lot warmer toned on camera than they are in real life, they’re a lot more pink in person.

This outfit is bang on trend, especially the frills across the front of the blouse which are definitely in fashion right now. Pink is also very in style at the minute as it is spring time and light, pretty colours are back in the shops. The pink themed carried on through to the shoes which I think are absolutely beautiful. The little cross over ankle strap detail is very pretty and delicate which makes the shoes very feminine and dainty looking. The short, block heel is very practical (and much easier to walk in than some of my other skyscraper heels!)

The final touch to each of these outfits was my rose gold Pandora princess ring which is one of my prized possessions, it’s just so beautiful! The pink tones of the ring matches the two outfits perfectly and it is truly the best addition to any outfit to make it fit for a princess.
